The incident

You mentioned an idea to JR. He liked it. Later, while you were positioning and asking him for advice, the idea came back as his own — “that’s how I see it.” You didn’t correct him. You let him own it.

The honest read

Two things were true at once: a real sense of power in choosing to let it go, and a slight disappointment underneath it. You kept the disappointment concealed — from him, and mostly from yourself in the moment. Worth naming honestly here rather than letting the power read paper over the other half.
